The Hospers City Council met in regular session on October 7, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor Rouse presiding.
Council members present: Dykstra, Solsma, Schulz and Hulst.
Motion made by Hulst, seconded by Dykstra to approve the Minutes of the September 16, 2013, meeting.  Motion
carried all ayes.
Motion made by Dykstra, seconded by Schulz to approve the payment of unpaid bills.  Motion carried all ayes.

Motion   made   by   Schulz,   seconded   by   Hulst   to   approve   the   September   Clerk’s   Report   and   Income   Statement. Motion carried all ayes.
Discussion regarding the parking around Hospers Elementary once again.
Discussion regarding the speeding that takes place in town.   Heidi will contact Sioux County Sheriff’s office and advise them of our “concern areas” and ask them to patrol them more often.
Motion made by Dykstra, seconded by Schulz to approve the building permit of Leo Freking.   Motion carried all ayes.
Motion made by Schulz, seconded by Hulst to approve the building permit of Amanda Falkena.  Motion carried all ayes.
Motion made by Dykstra, seconded by Hulst to approve the building permit of Robert Dorr.  Motion carried all ayes.
Discussion regarding nuisance in town we plan to move forward with.
Discussion regarding a new Ordinance to be put in place regarding property care/maintenance.
Motion made by Dykstra, seconded by Schulz to adjourn at 8:15 p.m.  Motion carried all ayes
