Council Proceedings March 28, 2022
The Hospers City Council met in special session on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. with Mayor Dykstra presiding. Council members present: Zevenbergen, Otto, Thompson and Kramer. City Clerk also present.
Motion by Zevenbergen, seconded Kramer to approve the March 28, 2022, Agenda. Carried.
Public hearing regarding the 2022-2023 Budget opened at 5:35 PM.
Motion by Zevenbergen, seconded Thompson to close the public hearing regarding the 2022-2023 Budget at 5:37 PM. Carried.
Motion by Kramer, seconded Otto to approve the 2022-2023 Budget and set same as Resolution 2022-2023. Roll call vote taken: aye Zevenbergen, aye Otto, aye Thompson and aye Kramer. Vander Wilt absent from voting. Resolution passed.
Kurt List, Perspective Insurance agent, presented options for City insurance plans. Motion by Thompson, seconded Zevenbergen to purchase policy from Iowa Communities Assurance Pool, and Iowa Municipalities Workers’ Compensation Association for April 1, 2022 effective date. Carried.
Motion by Kramer, seconded Zevenbergen to approve the March 28, 2022, meeting Minutes. Carried.
Motion by Zevenbergen, seconded Kramer to adjourn at 6:00 P.M. Carried.
