URGENT – Sump Pumps

URGENT: Please disconnect your sump pump from the sanitary sewer system.
With the recent rainfalls flows into the sanitary system have increased substantially (nearly doubled). The system is starting to show signs of stress and increased possibility of sewer back up. You can help reduce this risk for yourself, your neighbors, and the city by making sure that your sump pump(s) are NOT discharging into the sanitary sewer system. Sump pump(s) should discharge to the street or your yard instead.
