The Hospers City Council met in regular session on Monday, June 5, 2023, 7:00 PM at the Hospers City Hall with Mayor Pro Tem Thompson presiding. Council members present: Otto, Kramer, and Vander Wilt. Council members absent: Kooistra. The City Clerk was also present.
Motion by Vander Wilt, seconded Kramer to approve the June 5, 2023 Agenda. Carried.
Motion by Vander Wilt, seconded Otto to approve the payment of unpaid bills. Carried.

Motion by Otto, seconded Vander Wilt to approve the liquor license for American Farm Company. Carried.
Motion by Vander Wilt, seconded Otto to close Public Hearing regarding Fiscal Year 2023 Budget Amendment at 7:09 PM. No oral or written comments submitted. Motion by Otto, seconded Kramer to approve Resolution 2022-2023 Budget Amendment. Roll call vote taken: Otto aye, Kramer aye, Vander Wilt aye. Thompson abstained and Kooistra was absent from voting. Resolution passed.

Reviewed building permit for OK One Stop. Motion by Vander Wilt, seconded Kramer to approve the building permit for OK One Stop. Carried.
Reviewed building permit for Mark Falkena. Motion by Kramer, seconded Vander Wilt to approve the building permit Mark Falkena. Carried.
Reviewed building permit for Mark Reekers. Motion by Vander Wilt, seconded Otto to approve the building permit for Mark Reekers. Carried.
Discussed the plans for the Hospers Elementary School building. Motion by Vander Wilt, seconded Otto to purchase $1.5 million Functional Replacement Cost. Carried. The City is looking into future plans for the building with the committee.
Discussed fiscal year wage adjustments, topic tabled until the June 19, 2023 council meeting.
Motion by Vander Wilt, seconded Otto to approve the June 5, 2023 meeting Minutes. Carried.
Motion by Vander Wilt, seconded Kramer to adjourn at 7:48 PM. Carried.
